Description
Zinsser Perma-White is a mould resistant interior paint that has been specially formulated in order to resist cracking, peeling and blistering (for up to 7 years before first maintenance). Perma-White contains a biocode that protects the dried coating against fungal degradation. Perfect for any areas of persistent high humidity, frequent temperature changes and poor air circulation.
Zinsser Perma-White successfully bonds to existing solvent-based and glossy paints. Perma-White also seals flat paint, new drywall, cement block and concrete. Bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens and basements could all potentially benefit from an application of Perma-White – available in Matt and Semi-Gloss.
Preparation
- Surfaces must be clean, sound and free of dirt, dust, grease, wax, wallcovering adhesive, soap film, loose paint or other surface contamination.
- Remove all existing mould and mildew before painting, such as with Zinsser Mould Killer & Remover.
- If you are concerned about mould and mildew behind walls, underneath flooring, in ventilation systems or other unseen areas, contact a professional who specializes in mould and mildew remediation. For commercial buildings and schools follow appropriate guidelines for mould removal.
- Clean surfaces with a solution of one-cup household bleach per gallon of water or a quality biocidal wash.
