Glenwood Decorating Supplies have 9 tinting machines across 3 stores and the capacity to mix thousands of colours into many brands. We are able to mix all the leading paint brands and fashion colours, British standard and RAL colours, we have introduced a Heritage range of colours with the prefix refence NTB, which emulate popular brands, Can’t see the colour you want ?? We have the ability to take a sample colour and create a formulation on site and keep the formulation on our system under your name or project for future projects. Paint brands that we can mix in house Leyland, Macpherson, Crown, Johnstone’s, Sadolin, Sandtex, Bedec, Little Green, Teknos can all be mixed and dispatched from our warehouse.
Our in house mixing systems are calibrated by the respective manufacturers and there is always a commercial colour tolerance of 10% of the shade. We advise purchasing tester pots prior to purchasing a large amount of paint to confirm your colour choice as we cannot accept mixed paints back. We would like address other reasons for colours appearing different in various settings, Metamerism is a phenomenon that occurs when two colours appear to match under one lighting condition, but not when the light changes, this could be due to window position, sunlight, or even how a colour interacts with soft furnishings. Metameric matches are quite common, especially in near neutral shades such as greys, pale shades of whites or cream and some dark shades.
