Anaglypta Woodchip Wallpaper (Erfurt Mav) is a traditional woodchip wallpaper now a single chip grade. Anaglypta woodchip has been used to wallpaper living rooms, bedrooms hall and staircases for many years providing an inexpensive way to decorate the home. Easy to hang with no matching makes it ideal for the DIY or professional and once on and dry can be emulsion painted to provide bold or muted tones dependant to taste.
Woodchip wallpaper has been around for the best part of 100 years and can trace its history back to Germany and the Bauhaus period following World War One. Woodchip suited the period well with a move to simpler plainer forms, in this case simple clean homogenous painted walls rather than elaborately decorated ones.
Paste the Wall Woodchip contains textile fibres, which mean that the paper is now stronger, as well as being easier to remove.
