Description
Bedec Acrylic Floor Paint is a hard wearing water based floor paint ideal for new or old interior concrete, stone, and wooden floors. The acrylic floor paint is made up of durable cross linking acrylic resins contributing to its superb abrasion resistance and excellent adhesion properties. The micro aggregate leaves a fine slip resistant finish with good colour retention. Its quick drying and low odour properties make it ideal for domestic or industrial floors.
Preparation
Make sure any surface to be painted is clean, dry and free any possible contaminants such as dirt or grease. Remove any loose paint, as well as any mould and fungal growths. Smooth
glossy surfaces should be lightly abraded to provide a key. See the attached data sheet for specific advice on how to prepare various surfaces.
Application
Apply by brush or roller. Make sure to stir well and always check colour before use. We recommend using a test area first whenever possible. Do not apply at air or surface temperatures below 10?C. Apply two full coats, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. If the surface area receives high traffic then a third coat may be needed. New concrete should also be allowed to dry thoroughly prior to application.
Coverage
The manufacturer estimates the coverage rate, when applied by a brush or roller, to be approximately 10-13 square metres per litre per coat. The coverage will depend upon the texture and porosity of the substrate.
Drying Time
Drying time is subject to conditions. The manufacturer estimates that the painted surface will be dry after 2-4 hours, and re-coatable after 4 hours. Let the final Bedec Acrylic Floor Paint coat dry for at least 16-24 hours before the floor is returned to use. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
