Description
Bedec Extra-Flex Masonry paint is ideally suited for the protection of exterior masonry, roughcast, pebble-dash, brickwork , cement and concrete rendered surfaces. It can be applied to previously painted surfaces after suitable preparation. Bedec Extra-Flex is a superior grade exterior masonry paint which will help to bridge the fine hair line cracks in concrete render, the elastomeric nature of the product allows it to contract and expand with the weather conditions.

It can be applied to previously painted surfaces after suitable preparation.?This modified acrylic blend is a flexible microporous protective coating that will flex with the substrate where movement causes cracking in conventional masonry paint.
Preparation
Make sure any surface to be painted is clean, dry and free any possible contaminants such as dirt or grease. Remove any loose paint, as well as any mould and fungal growths. Lightly abrade any smooth glossy surfaces to provide a key. Thin with approximately 30-40% fresh clean water for any untreated render, plaster, brickwork or any porous substrate .
Where there is a risk of staining (Extractive discolouration) the manufacturer recommends treatment with BEDEC Stain block.
Repair cracks as follows:
1. Large cracks – Cut out and fill with a flexible interior filler.
2. Hair line cracks – Apply Interior-Flex into the cracks and feather out to give a smooth edge. You may require one or two additional coats to complete bridging.
After the cracks have been treated apply one or two coats of Interior-Flex over the complete area.
Application
Apply by brush, roller, conventional H.V.L.P or airless spray. Make sure to stir well and always check colour before use. We recommend using a test area first whenever possible. Do not apply at air or surface temperatures below 10?C or when it is likely to be foggy or to rain. On sealed surfaces apply one to two coats, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. Do not over spread.
Coverage
The manufacturer estimates the coverage rate, when applied by a brush or roller, to be approximately 9-11 square metres per litre per coat. The coverage will depend upon the texture and porosity of the substrate. Spraying will considerably reduce the coverage rate depending on the type of spray equipment used. Drying Time
Drying time is subject to conditions. The manufacturer estimates that the painted surface will be dry after 2-4 hours, and recoatable after 4 hours. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.

- Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one. May produce an allergic reaction.

- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Wear respiratory protection if spraying the product.
- Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.
- IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do, and then continue rinsing.
- IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. Do not use solvent or thinners or white spirit.
- IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTRE or doctor if you feel unwell at all.
