Leyland Trade Hardwearing Matt is an extremely durable, a hardwearing finish that is able to with stand repeated cleaning and also benefits from excellent stain and moisture resisting properties, brilliant for areas of high traffic such as corridors and stair cases
Preparation
Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Remove all loose and defective paint. Seal absorbent surfaces with a solution of up to 1 part water to 4 parts Hardwearing Matt. Prime bare timber and metal surfaces with the appropriate Leyland Primer. Rub down sound previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly before applying a pre-coat of Leyland Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear
a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
Application
Stir well before use and apply by brush, roller or spray. We advise application by roller we suggest? a medium pile synthetic type. Do not overfill the tray. Ensure roller is loaded evenly. If using a brush, load generously. Apply liberally and evenly; avoid overspreading. Under normal conditions, allow 4 hours before applying a
second coat if required. Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 10℃
