Description
Rustins Quick Drying Primer and Undercoat is a versatile, high-performance primer and undercoat suitable for both interior and exterior use. Designed to deliver excellent coverage and adhesion, it prepares surfaces for a smooth, professional finish.
Ideal as a primer for new and bare surfaces including wood, MDF, plaster, brickwork, and cement. Rustins Quick Drying Primer and Undercoat has a high opacity, which also makes it an effective undercoat for previously primed or painted areas. Once dry, it can be overcoated with either water-based or solvent-based finishing paints.
Surface Preparation:
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from wax, grease, and other contaminants.
- For bare wood: seal knots with appropriate knotting solution before application.
- Fill any holes or cracks with wood filler after priming.
- When applying over existing paint: clean thoroughly and lightly sand the surface to create a key for better adhesion.
Application Instructions:
Apply generously and evenly using a synthetic brush or roller.
- When using as a primer, it may be thinned if required by mixing 5 parts product with 1 part water.
- Do not thin when using as an undercoat.
