Description
Teknos Aqua filler 1100 a waterborne opaque primer for industrial use, ideal for priming internal items of trim in MDF, Tulip wood and soft woods. Suitable for spray application with Airless, Conventional or air assisted airless equipment. Sandable within 40 mins re-coat in 1 hour at 23° Clean up with water, virtually no VOC.
Preparation
The wood must be dry, clean and free from wood dust and any possible contaminants. The moisture content of the wood should be below 20%.
Application
- The temperature of the air, the surface and the paint must be above 15°C and the relative humidity of the air below 80% during the time of application and drying.
- For best results apply this product when the temperature of the air is 23-38°C, the relative humidity of the air 50-70% and the ventilation is good.
- Before use stir the paint thoroughly.
- Apply the paint by spray.
- The manufacturer recommends applying Teknos Aqua Filler 1100 with undiluted paint, but the paint can be diluted with water if required.
Drying times
- The drying times will vary as influenced by the quality of the wood, humidity, temperature and ventilation.
- The following drying times were determined at 23°C and 50% relative humidity:
- Dry to handle: 40 minutes.
- Dry to overcoat: 1 hour.
Safety Information
- May produce an allergic reaction.
- If you need medical advice have the tin and/or label at hand.
- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Wear respiratory protection if spraying the product.
- Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.
- IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do, and then continue rinsing.
- IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. Do not use solvent or thinners or white spirit.
- IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTRE or doctor if you feel unwell at all.
